2003 | |
Oiltanking Hungary, in Budapest, and Oiltanking Daya Bay in China are founded. The tank terminals in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Houston and Singapore are expanded. Mabanaft acquires Viterra Contracting (today Proenergy Contracting). In doing so, Marquard & Bahls expands into the energy service sector. Mabanaft takes over two trading companies in Austria and opens a representative office in India. Skytanking USA is founded; its first location is opened at Miami airport. Our service stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are rebranded to OIL!. |

2004 | Mabanaft Inc. is founded on the East Coast of the United States. Mabanaft opens a representative office in Singapore. Matrix Marine Fuels, Mabanaft’s subsidiary for bunker business, offers its service also in Guatemala, in addition to its Houston location. Skytanking USA opens a second location at Philadelphia airport. GEE founds its first wholly-owned subsidiary in Denmark: GEE Bioenergy A/S. With new acquisitions, the OIL! service station network grows to a total of 240 stations. In cooperation with Star Energy, Oiltanking starts operating a tank terminal in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates. In a joint venture with Odfjell, Oiltanking provides management of the jetties at the Port of Sohar, harbor in Oman. |
