Experience reports of our trainees

Till Bargfrede (born in 1984), Trainee at Marquard & Bahls since January 2010.

1. Why did you decide to pursue a trainee program at our company? What did you find particularly appealing?
After studying and working for nine years in the USA and finishing a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance, which I completed while working, I wanted to take a new direction professionally. An acquaintance of mine recommended Marquard & Bahls to me, and he impressed upon me the company's special corporate culture. After the interviews, I was completely won over by Marquard & Bahls. The opportunities and flexibility of this trainee program are unique; after all, you don’t move across the Atlantic without compelling reasons.

2. How would you describe our company and our culture?
Even at the interviews, I noticed that Marquard & Bahls has a very open and trusting relationship with its employees. I am convinced that this is the basis for the company's philosophy – independent, sound, individual – being embraced successfully by all of us.

3. What do you like most about your work or your traineeship at our company?
Marquard & Bahls invests heavily in international and young employees. It really is something special to discuss the topic of project management with trainees from all over the world at a seminar. We also have lots of openings to gain experience in different areas and regions. You can learn and experience a lot at Marquard & Bahls, especially if you are open and flexible.
